The purpose of Amendment 101 to the National Capital Plan is to reinstate the intended locations of landmark buildings on the western side of the City Hill Precinct.

On 15 December 2025, the Minister for Regional Development, Territories and Local Government approved National Capital Plan Amendment 101. The amendment took effect on 15 December 2025.
