In 2015, the NCA replaced lighting to the existing footpath network throughout Commonwealth Park. The new energy efficient replacement lighting has been designed to improve amenity, safety and maintenance operations within the Park.

The lighting forms part of the NCA's broader, ongoing lighting replacement program on National Land.
