Amendment 99 to the National Capital Plan amended the Plan by identifying a Town Centre at the suburb of Molonglo in the district of Molonglo Valley. 

This change recognised that the estimated population of Molonglo when complete will result in additional demand for services and amenities and warrants a Town Centre to serve as the main commercial hub for the district.

On 9 September 2024, the Minister for Regional Development, Territories and Local Government approved National Capital Plan Amendment 99. 

The amendment took effect on 16 September 2024.
