Lost and Found Talk

Join conservator Gillian Mitchell and educator Kate Collins for an intriguing evening uncovering somewhat lost sculptures.

Barbara Hepworth’s Two Figures once sat within Commonwealth Park, now it sits of display at Regatta Point. The Two Figures sculpture of 1968 was restored by Gillian. Discover how layers of the past were erased to reveal a glorious sculpture.

Kate questions what motivated artist Bert Flugelman to bury his artwork, Earthworks, 50 years ago? Earthworks remains buried in Commonwealth Park, location unknown. Uncover Fugleman’s process and motivations.
