In February 2025, get ready for murder, greed and bloody tragedy at a FREE park performance of William Shakespeare's Macbeth!
This summer Lakespeare and The Q are bringing another great season of Shakespeare by the Lakes to Canberra audiences.
Parks around Canberra will transform into the eerie beauty of the Scottish Highlands as the infamous witches weave their dark prophecies and Macbeth rises to power amidst a whirlwind of murder, secrets, and the occult, with a dynamic cast (and maybe a few audience members) who will bring the play to life.
Gather your friends, pack a picnic, and prepare for an evening of greed, ambition, and deception. Whether you’re a Shakespeare aficionado or new to the Bard, don’t miss this chance to experience Shakespeare’s shortest, sharpest, and bloodiest play like never before, as nature and theatre collide.
Performances of Macbeth will take place at Patrick White Lawns at 4.30pm on Saturday 22 February and Sunday 23 February.
Full season runs from 12 February to 2 March, and includes FREE park shows, pay-what-you-feel performances at Aunty Louise Brown Park (at The Q), and some indoor ticketed performances.
This is Shakespeare at its most accessible.
