Community Views Invited on Lake Burley Griffin Floating Saunas

The National Capital Authority (NCA) invites community feedback on the proposed design of the floating saunas on Lake Burley Griffin near Yarralumla Beach.

A works approval application detailing the proposed location, design, and materials to be used in the construction of the saunas has been submitted to the NCA for assessment.

The floating saunas detailed in the submission to the NCA include:

• a 78.8m² pontoon that will include two saunas, changing rooms and a gathering space
• a 10.5-metre-long gangway resting on the bank of the lake to connect the floating sauna to land
• 4.2m high sauna structures and changing rooms on the floating pontoon.
