The National Capital Authority (NCA) is proud to be a major contributor to this year’s Heritage festival, presenting a rich program of talks, tours and hands-on experiences that explore the artistry, history and heritage embedded within the National Triangle.

This year’s theme, Mid-century – innovation, change and optimism, shines a light on a defining era in Canberra’s development, one marked by creativity, civic ambition and the evolution of a unique cultural identity.

Attendees will have opportunities to engage with public art, discover conservation practices, learn from artists and historians, and experience the capital’s stories through craft, movement and family-friendly activities.

From behind-the-scenes insights into sculpture and heritage restoration, to lively market days, guided walks and immersive cultural experiences on Lake Burley Griffin, the NCA’s program offers something for all ages, celebrating both Canberra’s mid-century character and its deeper, older histories.

Full details of the events and bookings links can be found on the NCA website - Heritage Festival 2026 | National Capital Authority
