Approval of Mixed-Use Residential Development on Benjamin Way

 

The National Capital Authority (NCA) has granted Works Approval for the construction of a mixed-use residential development at 53 Benjamin Way, Belconnen.

The development will include 239 apartments and 1,875m2 ground floor retail space, as well as a swimming pool, gymnasium, communal landscape areas and residential and retail car parking.

The site (Block 11, section 44), located on the corner of Benjamin Way and Cameron Avenue, is currently a surface car park and adjoins the Commonwealth Heritage listed Cameron Offices.

The NCA provided the approval following public consultation in November and December 2023 and noting the development is consistent with National Capital Plan requirements.
