Here are a few ways to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee:
- Beacon-Lighting - Members of the public wishing to view the lighting of the Commonwealth Beacon at Regatta Point in Canberra are welcome to do so from 9:00 pm on Thursday 2 June.
- Renaming of Aspen Island to Queen Elizabeth II Island - At approximately 11.30 am on Saturday, 4 June 2022, all members of the public are invited to view a 21 Gun Salute and RAAF flypast (weather permitting) from vantage points around Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin Central Basin. - The Queen and Me Exhibition - From 2 June until 31 December 2022, The National Capital Authority is presenting, The Queen and Me, a free exhibition at the National Capital Exhibition (NCE) at Regatta Point. Book a FREE guided tour here: https://bit.ly/queenandmeNCA
- Jubilee Lightings - Take a driving tour on any night from 2-5 June, and see the National Cultural Institutions awash with purple
