Barrine Drive will be reduced to one-way only from Thursday 30 April 2026 to support essential upgrades being delivered as part of the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Renewal Project.
This is a long-term closure which is required for activities between now and late 2027, however we acknowledge how important this route is for access to and from Regatta Point and are working to reinstate two-way access as soon as practicable.
Dates:
Thursday 30 April 2026 - Friday 29 October 2027.
Time:
24-hour one-way arrangement.
Location:
Barrine Drive will be closed to eastbound traffic between Albert Street (West) and Albert Street (East).
There will be no access to Regatta Point/Commonwealth Park from Commonwealth Avenue (northbound).
More information including detour maps is available on the project page: Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Renewal.
