The following formal submission have been made public
Submitter: Annette BrownlieAnzac Hall and Glazed Link
From what I can ascertain from the video's and information received it appears that a major feature of the plan is to display weapons and various war materiel as a feature in the Glazed Link.
This is not the impression i want to see propagated to the people of Australia and visiting internationals and I feel it is in contravention of the National Capital Plan.
NCP (page 17): “Substantial works of architecture, engineering and landscape within the Territory should be designed to contribute positively to the overall composition, symbolism and dignity of the National Capital.”
Large displays of weaponry as the glazed link appears designed and planned to accommodate, are not consistent with the symbolism and dignity of a capital that strives for peace.
Yours respectfully
Annette Brownlie
