The following formal submission have been made public
Submitter: Anthony PahlAnzac Hall and Glazed Link
As a Australian War Veteran (Vietnam), I am ardently dedicated to the preservation of Australia's Defence Force's involvement in all aspects of the defence of our country, including but not restricted to War, Peacekeeping, Humanitarian, Disaster Relief etc. The expansion of Anzac Hall is of paramount importance towards this end. I would be ashamed if the recognition and inclusion of Vietnam service was to be the last theatre to be on full display in Australia's War Memorial. Notwithstanding the awful publicity denigrating our soldier's involvement in the Afghanistan theatre, Australian men and women have served continuously a(nd continue to serve) with honour, distinction and selflessness. Their patriotism must shine and be reflected in OUR War Memorial.
I strenuously urge the powers-that-be to continue with the expansion of Anzac Hall in order to more appropriately display our Defence Force's post-Vietnam involvement in the maintenance of democracy and humanity throughout our Country, our Region and beyond.
