A Public Interest Certificate (PIC) is a document issued by the National Capital Authority in accordance with section 22 of the Government Procurement (Judicial Review) Act 2018 (Cth) (GPJR Act). Under the GPJR Act certain types of procurements may be suspended while complaints are being investigated or injunctions are being considered.
Relevant Commonwealth entities, like the National Capital Authority, may issue a public interest certificate in circumstances where they consider that it is not in the public interest for a particular procurement process to be suspended.
See About Us for information on how to make a procurement complaint to the National Capital Authority.
