Amendment 94 to the National Capital Plan added ‘Commercial Accommodation’ and ‘Personal Service Establishment’ as permitted land uses for the National Arboretum Canberra (NAC). The amendment also introduced detailed planning and design provisions to guide the design and siting of such facilities.
On 1 May 2020, the Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories approved National Capital Plan Amendment 94. The amendment took effect on 6 May 2020.
