Temporary road closures and nightworks - State Circle and Capital Circle

Sections of Capital Circle will be closed for nightworks from Sunday 16 August 2026 for road maintenance.
Closures will be in place between the hours of 8 pm and 7 am Sunday nights through to Friday nights (no works on Saturday nights).

Dates:
Works will be carried out in two stages:
- Stage 1: from Sunday 21 June 2026 for approximately 6 weeks (weather permitting). Works completed.
- Stage 2: from Sunday 16 August 2026 for approximately 5 weeks (weather permitting).
Time:
Closures will be in place between the hours of 8 pm and 7 am Sunday nights through to Friday nights (no works on Saturday nights).
Location:
The Stage 2 work area is outlined in gold on the map below. Road closures will occur within these highlighted areas. There will be detour signage for all road users and traffic controllers will be on site.
Depending on scheduling, road closures will vary and not all closures will be in place at the one time. Roadside signage will be installed in advance to notify the community of expected closure dates for each location.
