Procurement Complaints

You can make a complaint if you are unhappy about the way we have procured goods and/or services, or if you believe we have breached the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).

Please email procurement.review@nca.gov.au with details of your complaint and contact details so that we can contact you about your complaint.

The Australian Government introduced the Government Procurement (Judicial Review) Act 2018 (GPJR Act) to provide suppliers and/or potential suppliers with a mechanism for lodging a formal complaint for covered procurements, if they believe:

  • a department has or will breach relevant CPRs relating to a covered procurement, and
  • this will affect their interests.

A more detailed explanation of the GPJR Act, and what a covered procurement is, is provided in the Department of Finance’s resource guide: Handling Complaints under the Government Procurement (Judicial Review) Act 2018 (RMG 422).

If you believe we have or will breach the CPRs in relation to a covered procurement and this will affect your interests, you can submit a complaint under the GPJR Act by emailing: procurement.review@nca.gov.au. In doing so please:

  • provide your name, the entity you represent and contact details,
  • identify the procurement activity, details of any resolution attempts and the outcome(s) sought,
  • reference the CPRs you believe have or will be breached and provide information to support the complaint, and
  • explain how your interests have or will be affected by the alleged contravention(s).
