Submission to the Australian War Memorial

This whole exercise is too expensive. We don't need to glorify war, we need to fund support for veterans.

I oppose the expansion. The honouring can be a simple thing.

The whole idea of this huge, expensive expansion does not help veterans. It's opposed by many experts including those with close associations with the War Memorial.

A memorial should be simple, sobre and accessible. That's respectful. There are even suggestions that more weaponry will be on display. That doesn't honour the fallen. They fell because of those weapons. Don't glorify war. Work to support veterans and acknowledge the horrors of war.
