The following formal submission have been made public
Submitter: John StaceNew Southern Entrance
THIS IS A RESUBMISSION because I used the the wrong acronym for the National Planning Plan (NAA instead of NCP).
Below is my corrected submission:
Hello,
I am concerned that the new development is not consistent with the NCP. In particular, the new development does not match the requirement for sustainability ( section 2.4 of the NCP ).
The three principles of sustainability are:
ECONOMY: Spending nearly half a billion dollars to create marginal additional space is not wise use of money.
SOCIETY: Destroying important buildings like the Anzac Hall...and diverting funds away from helping veterans recover from their traumatic experiences...is not good for Australian society.
ENVIRONMENT: Destroying the old buildings causes land fill issues. Creating new building materials is energy intensive and is environmentally unfriendly.
Because the new extensions weren't really necessary and they fail the sustainability component of the NCP, the Main Work needs to be significantly reviewed and probably cancelled.
