Submitter: Paul GannanAnzac Hall and Glazed Link
I have not been to the National War Memorial for many years. Everything was clean and well presented to the public. However' at that time I did notice that Anzac Hall was rather over crowded with stories and exhibits Now, with the end of the war in Afghanistan it is time to renovate, renew and make larger Anzac Hall to fit Stories and memorabilia of our Defence Forces activities and deployments since the end of the Vietnam War. The Defence force is all about Defending Australia and Australians and providing assistance to to people in times of stress. For example: The Brisbane Floods of 1974, Cyclone Tracy and its aftermath in 1975, Excercise "Hopper Stomper" around Gympie in the mid 1970s and various other disasters both at home and abroad. There also should be extra space added to account for our, the Defence Forces activities in Africa and the Middle East.
