All of these three new areas of the AWM do not meet the AWM's goals of disseminating Australia's military, commemorating the loss of Australia's past military actions or assist it in any way research. Its only purpose is to "display" more of the collection, and it seems to celebrate war and military actions, which in essence is not a memorial as so much an advertisement for military, war and the backers of war or a military parade.
I know many people have a relation who fought in wars and continue to do so, and they need to be given a space and place to commemorate and morn and to pursue both research and remember the past as we would not want to continue to repeat mistakes that war often shows. War generally means we were as humans, unable to reach a compromise and unable to exist peacefully with another culture, philosophy or idiom. Sometimes such things can not reach a peaceful resolution, such as say when totalitarian regimes decide that they wish to wipe out entire races, or when our allies are in need of aid. This is why wars can still happen, even when we are intelligent, peace-loving people who want less conflict, and why we still need a military. However our military and our history is not a commodity to sell more guns, tanks and planes, nor is it a place for nothing but giant displays of military might. These things belong in advertising commercials, military parades and similar things, not at what is supposed to be a place of quiet reflection.
