Submission to the Australian War Memorial

The following formal submission have been made public

The construction of more and larger space to accommodate the more recent Australian defence commitments will be very welcome. The Vietnam War history needs greater representation as do the Middle East conflicts. I long for the day when no further extension to our War Memorial is required but until then let us give our soldiers all the recognition they have earned and deserve.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as traditional custodians of the ACT and recognise any other people or families with connection to the lands of the ACT and region.

We acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region.
