Thank you for the option to comment. With the new southern entrance it could be argued that these proposed modifications are well overdue. The upgrade, particularly to improve disabled access and increased seating, will enhance the the experience for many that visit this most important of Australia's major institutions.

Regrettably, still today Australia's servicemen and women are called upon to go into harm's way in service of our nation. Regardless of whether this service was 100 years or 10 years ago it should be acknowledged and commemorated in the AWM. This proposed Bean Building extension meet this requirement.

I believe the story of Australians in conflict and sacrifices made needs to be ongoing and contemporary. The new Anzac Hall will permit far greater availability for many aspects of all conflicts, past and recent, to be acknowledged and displayed with greater accessibility. We should not shy from moving forward.
