Given the huge commitment made by the Australian armed forces and Police since the Vietnam War covering multiple areas of conflict around the globe I think it is very important for this effort to be recognised in the Australian War Memorial in a larger space than it currently is.
This is important for them, their families and the general population to ensure that the country does not forget their service and the often extreme conditions they served in.
Regardless of the outcome of the engagements, factual and graphical displays should be set up as an ongoing reminder to us all of their service to the country.
The current area dedicated to this part of our history is far too small to adequately display the raft of engagements Australians have been involved in and where unfortunately some have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
