The need to include service personnel who served post Vietnam to the present day would provide those of us who served in peacetime a relevance that we do not necessarily have. I would like people who visit to know that although my 24 years of service was during peacetime I did things for my countrymen, an example being assisting in cleaning Darwin after Cyclone Tracy.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as traditional custodians of the ACT and recognise any other people or families with connection to the lands of the ACT and region.

We acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region.
