If the NCA was serious about wanting community feedback then they would postpone the deadline as public health arrangements do not allow public information sessions to go ahead. The point is though that the work has already commenced so nothing will stop that. The consultation process is just so the NCA is able to say they consulted with the community. If the NCA was truly wanting to listen to community feedback it would realise that when 600 submissions were received for the last consultation process and the majority of the submission raised major issues and nothing changed, that maybe it was time for the NCA to wonder if it was really representing what people wanted. Now the community is again being asked to wade through documents and write submissions which will dismissed. It is a waste of public money and the communities time. On top of this the most of the nation is dealing with a public health crisis and most people are not even in a position to cope with more than schooling kids and working from home even if they wanted to put in a submission.
