Submission to the Australian War Memorial

I believe the refurbishment work will enhance the traditions and social standing of the Australian War Memorial in Australia and overseas. It's important not to let contemporary concerns stand in the way of recognising the need for reflecting events not contemplated when the building was first constructed. I have heard some say the cost of these needed works would be better spent elsewhere. My response is the number of dollars involved will be insignificant over many decades, but the value added to our AWM will continue to increase far into the future.
