I think this package is really important because post Vietnam there is a 50 year gap in our ADF history that needs to be told. The vast majority of Australians love and are extremely proud and grateful of their ADF. The ADF didn't end with Vietnam, but has continued in many important roles including peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, disaster relief and of course war/conflict in Iraq, Syria and the longest in Afghanistan. Our ADF has continued the legacy of serving with courage, competence and compassion. They do us proud everywhere they go and in all they do. It is a fact that if you are not the ' enemy ', people everywhere are overjoyed to see our ADF in their time of need. They also perform exceptionally well in areas of war and conflict against our enemies. We can be just as proud of our ADF now as we are of its history. So why not display it in full detail for all Australians and others to come and see and learn about and feel proud and grateful. It is also important to do this for our veterans, so that they know how much their work and sacrifice means to us and how much we care for and appreciate them. It is also important to inspire generations to come to serve their country. It is really important now especially in this uncertain and dangerous world. We really need our ADF now as ever.
