When Australian society is genuinely interested in the ongoing suffering inflicted on both civilians (who we claim to be protecting) and on our military personnel, we will spend our money in very different ways to the building up of the “military-industrial complex” that President Dwight Eisenhower warned of in his parting speech over 60 years ago.
