Amendment 76 was approved by the Minister for Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government, the Hon. Simon Crean MP, on 15 November 2012. The purpose of the Amendment was to clarify the role of the ACT Government in determining the boundary of 'Urban Areas' in the Metropolitan Policy Plan of the National Capital Plan.
