These behind-the-scenes opportunities are all about Sharing Stories, and each one of them gives you a unique insight into the history of Canberra and the people in it.
Love a twisted tale told under the stars?
Sit back and relax by the campfire as Curator Roslyn Hull tells spooky stories in the historic grounds of Blundells Cottage. Bring a thermos, a camp chair and share in some damper as the evening sets in. This is family friendly event.

Join Educator Kate Collins as she studies diary entries, maps and official reports of Chief Surveyor Charles Scrivener to peel back the layers of his life.
Examining Scrivener’s own accounts, Kate will speak on the workmanship that determined the National Capital’s precise location.

Now, using Sylvia’s original plans, Caroline Hennessy draws out stories about the woman behind the landscape and how she dreamed the 34.5 hectare Commonwealth Park into life.
