How do you tell the story of four families and their lives over a 100-year period?
This enormous task is the role of Blundells Cottage curator, Roslyn Hull, who has scoured antique shops, online listings, and estate sales, travelling across the region in a bid to shape an ephemeral collection that does justice to the stories of The Ginns, The Blundells, The Oldfields, and The Sainsburys.
Each item has meaning. Each item draws out a story, and the act of collecting these items has become a fascinating journey in its own right.
As part of the 2022 ACT Heritage Festival, audiences are invited to join Roslyn to discuss The Curious Case of the Blundells Collection and how it came to be.
This is a FREE event, but registrations are required.
We acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as traditional custodians of the ACT and recognise any other people or families with connection to the lands of the ACT and region.
We acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region.
