Flynn's Walk is a walk and talk event designed to raise awareness and support for the well-being of veterinarians and other veterinary staff. The event aims to cultivate compassion and understanding within the wider community while celebrating those who dedicate their lives to caring for our cherished pets. Flynn's Walk serves as a platform for the veterinary field to unite and support one another in a warm, casual atmosphere.
The event is free of charge and welcomes everyone, not just members of the veterinary community. Friends, family members, children, and dogs are all encouraged to attend!
The walk will begin at Commonwealth Place, situated opposite Questacon in the park. Participants will enjoy a scenic 5-kilometre walk around the beautiful Lake Burley Griffin, completing a loop and returning to the park. To conclude the event, a complimentary sausage sizzle will be available for all attendees.
Let's join together to support veterinary well-being and foster community connections.
We acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as traditional custodians of the ACT and recognise any other people or families with connection to the lands of the ACT and region.
We acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region.
