Notice is hereby given pursuant to sub-section 41 (3) of the Australian Capital Territory National Land (Unleased) Ordinance 2022 of the intention to close the following roads in the ACT.

Traffic Arrangements
On December 31st, fireworks will be launched from barges positioned in the Central Basin of Lake Burley Griffin and Commonwealth Avenue Bridge, as such the following closures and changes will be in place:
Road Closures
10:00am till 10:30pm Sunday 31 December 2023
- Commonwealth Bridge - Southern Pedestrian lane, closed
- Commonwealth Bridge - Left hand lane Southbound, closed
- Commonwealth Bridge – entire road closed from approximately 8.40pm till 9.30pm.
5:00pm till 10:30pm Sunday 31 December 2023
- Barrine Drive between Albert Street and Albert Street, closed
- Mall Road West, closed
- Wendouree Drive, closed
- Queen Elizabeth Terrace from Parkes Place West to Parkes Place East, closed
Carpark Closures
5:00am Friday 29 December 2023 to 7:59am Tuesday 2 January 2024
- Barrine Drive carpark
- Rond Terrace carpark
Speed Limits
10:00am Sunday 31 December 2023 till 10:30pm Sunday 31 December 2023
- Speed limit reduced to 40km/h along Commonwealth Avenue Bridge as a result of the celebrations:
- Speed limit reduced to 40km/h along Kings Avenue Bridge
- Speed limit reduced to 40km/h along Parkes Way from Law Street to Kings Avenue Bridge.
Traffic in the area will be directed by signage and traffic marshals, as required.
