Road Closures: Parkes Way, Kings Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue

Notice is hereby given pursuant to sub-section 15 (2) (a) of the Australian Capital Territory National Land (Unleased) Ordinance 2022 of the intention to close the following roads in the ACT.

Due to heavy patching works, the roads named below will be temporarily closed on the dates indicated.

Important Information:

  • All road closures listed will occur at night between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

  • Traffic control measures, including signs and marshals, will be in place to guide drivers.

UPCOMING CLOSURES:

Parkes Way (YELLOW in the map below)

  • Dates: Monday 29 July – Thursday 1 August 2024

  • Direction: Westbound lanes towards Anzac Parade Roundabout

  • Closure: Road closure from 8:00 PM each night to 6:00 AM the following morning.

Kings Avenue (RED in the map below)

  • Dates: Thursday 1 August - Saturday 3 August 2024

  • Direction: Eastbound between State Circle and King George Terrace

  • Closure: Road closure from 8:00 PM each night to 6:00 AM the following morning.  

Commonwealth Avenue (PURPLE in the map below)

  • Dates: Sunday 4 August - Tuesday 6 August 2024

  • Direction: Northbound lanes towards the City 

  • Closure: Road closure from 8:00 PM each night to 6:00 AM the following morning.
