On 16 March 2017, the NCA received a Works Approval application from Knight Frank on behalf of the Australian National University for the demolition of buildings including Arts Centre, Arts Centre Transportable, Concessions, University Union, Manning Clarke Centre, adjacent structures and surrounding pedestrian walkways largely within Union Court at the ANU Acton campus (WA100304).
The following report details the public consultation process undertaken by the NCA relating to this application. The Report was prepared in accordance with the NCA's 'Commitment to Community Engagement (February 2015)' which details how the NCA conducts consultation. The full consultation report is below.
The purpose of the report is to provide a greater level of consistency and transparency in the NCA's decision making process. The Consultation Report outlines the submissions received and provides responses to any of the issues raised. Public consultation took place between 3 - 23 March 2017.
The NCA received a total of four submissions on the proposal. Key issues raised in the submissions were:
