Public consultation has now closed.
The National Capital Authority (NCA) has received a works approval application for the construction of two floating saunas on one pontoon and a gangway on land at Yarralumla Beach East on Lake Burley Griffin (Block 17 Section 17 Yarralumla - Alexandrina Drive Yarralumla).
The NCA is seeking public comment on the proposed location, design, and materials to be used in the construction of the saunas.
The proposal includes the following key elements:
A 78.8m2 pontoon that will include two saunas, changing rooms and a gathering space.
A 10.5-metre-long gangway connecting the floating sauna to the land.
4.2m high sauna structures and changing rooms on the floating pontoon.
