Public consultation has now closed.
The Carillon and Aspen Island is a place of considerable heritage value related to its aesthetic, historic and social values. These values relate, in part, to the place itself and also to the broader setting of the National Triangle.
The Carillon is a treasured Canberra landmark. The Carillon is individually listed on the Commonwealth Heritage List (Place ID: 105346) and the Carillon and Aspen Island is also part of a larger listed heritage area, the Parliament House Vista.
Under paragraph 341S(6)(b) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, the National Capital Authority (NCA) welcomes comments on the draft Heritage Management Plan from members of the public, Indigenous People with rights and interests to the place, key stakeholders and community groups by close of business, Monday 24th May 2021.
The draft Heritage Management Plan can be downloaded here or can be viewed in hardcopy at the reception desk at the NCA, Treasury Building, King Edward Terrace, Parkes ACT.
