Public consultation has now closed.
The National Capital Authority (NCA) has prepared a Consultation Report for Works Approval application 20256 (WA20256) from the Capital Metro Agency.
The NCA received the application for proposed works to the Magistrate Court and Canberra Theatre car parks, which included the reconfiguration of existing spaces and the construction of additional spaces.
On 18 March 2016, the NCA approved the application. The Consultation Report was prepared in accordance with the NCA's 'Commitment to Community Engagement (February 2015),' which details how the NCA conducts consultation. The full consultation report is below.
The purpose of the report is to provide a greater level of consistency and transparency in the NCA's decision making process. The Consultation Report outlines the submissions received and provides responses to any of the issues raised. Public consultation took place between 23 January and 15 February 2016.
The NCA received a total of four submissions on the proposal. Each submission raised issues in relation to proposal.

The NCA has assessed issues raised by submitters and these matters have been taken into account as part of the assessment process.
The NCA considers that the proposal is not inconsistent with the provisions of the National Capital Plan and the Delegate intends to approve the works with conditions covering the need for further applications for Works Approval for site establishment, construction management and temporary traffic management plans, and the installation of temporary signage.
