Public consultation has now closed.
The NCA received an application from the Land Development Agency (LDA) for the public realm works associated with City to the Lake. In accordance with the NCA's 'Commitment to Community Engagement (February 2015)', the NCA sought community feedback on the proposed development of the West Basin Waterfront.Comments closed on Tuesday 20 October 2015.
On 18 May 2016, The NCA approved this works approval application for the construction of 'Point Park' (Stage 1 of the West Basin Waterfront) and upgrade of intersections on Commonwealth Avenue.
The National Capital Authority (NCA) has prepared a Consultation Report for Works Approval application 20108 (WA20108) for the West Basin Foreshore works.The Report was prepared in accordance with the NCA's 'Commitment to Community Engagement (February 2015)' which details how the NCA conducts consultation. The purpose of the report is to provide a greater level of consistency and transparency in the NCA's decision making process.
The Consultation Report outlines the submissions received and provides responses to any of the issues raised. Public consultation took place between 26 September 2015 and 20 October 2015.
